Ali DEGAN

 

Ali Degan founded Northern Seas Technologies Ltd (NST) in 2013 based in Aberdeen. Ali has over seventeen years of experience in development and maintenance of offshore structures. He served as structural technical authority, lead structural engineer and principal engineer of several Major Oil & Gas operators as well as consultancies companies in the North Sea. He has been involved in several Oil & Gas field developments such as a gigantic field development in Qatar including design of fourteen new platforms, Salman project including design of seven new platforms, SPD6,7&8 project including design of three new jackets, etc.

 

Over this years, he has managed to deliver several successful projects with full satisfaction of Clients and gained an extensive experience in advanced structural engineering.

Stuart Bell
 

Stuart Bell has over 30-years in the design, development, and execution of shallow and deepwater Oil & Gas projects around the world.  Stuart has held senior management and board positions across a number of subsea design consultancies and EPIC contractors and specialises.  High profile projects led and executed by Stuart include BP’s ultra-deepwater HPHT Thunder Horse, Chevron’s Gorgon long stepout gas project as well as a number of high profile projects including Green and brownfield design to integrity management. 

 

In his career spanning all aspects of subsea infrastructure design from wells systems to delivery point, he has gained a reputation delivering successful project that meets or exceed the clients expectations.

Dr. Chris PLANE
 

Chris Plane spent 5 years in post-graduate research, 1 year in post-doctoral research and 21 years in the offshore industry. For much of that time he was Principal Engineer with Kvaerner Oil and Gas (now Aker Solutions) and worked on jacket and topsides structures. He gained experience there developing innovative modelling and analysis techniques for component FEA and dynamic blast scenarios.  When asked to assist with the design of Kvaerner wellhead products he realised that the area of riser dynamics was so large that it deserved his full time attention.

 

Over this years, he has managed to deliver several successful projects with full satisfaction of Clients and gained an extensive experience in advanced structural engineering.
